The Printing Art Fair
I can't believe this blog started exactly six years ago, after attending my very first Printing Art Fair at the Museum of Printing. This time I only went as a visitor with my family and truly enjoyed father's day between printing and demonstrations and strawberry picking at the local farm. Funny to revisit old photos of all the past years attending the fair. Summer is almost here!

Squam Art Fair 2013
We are are starting to pack some boxes and bring lots of our inventory to Squam Art Fair this Saturday, June 8th. I always look forward to spend the weekend by the lake with my family and have the art fair in the end of the day. My daughter will help at the fair this year and I'm so proud! the setting is beautiful, so remote and peaceful! our display, this time, will be right next to dear friend Valerie of Pikku and I look forward to meeting old and new friends at Squam, once again. In their own words: The Squam Art Fair it runs for just one Saturday night 7:30 pm - 10 pm, but it is always a remarkable mix of amazing artisans and crafters from all over the world who share their one-of-a-kind, handmade goods. Open to the public and free to all, we would love to have you join us if you are in the area. Our Spring retreat focuses on textiles and so does the fair. Expect to find yarn, yarn and more yarn of every variety, hue, and texture. Also on hand will be designers selling their patterns as well as loads of repurposed fabrics, linens and all sorts of fiber goodness. Always in the mix are a range of artwork from cards to prints to paintings." Really looking forward to Squam this year!

National Stationery Show 2013
The NSS was completely overwhelming this year and I needed more time to rest and get back on track in our studio. We loved being in the new corner location with Egg Press and Hammer Press and getting to know them better, and meeting new customers and Instagram followers. So much fun! the new Metallic cotton ribbons were really a big hit at the show. They will soon be announced in our online shop. Thank you everyone to make this new product so well received at the show! here is a peak to our days in NYC, but, as usual, I like to refer to Nole for the best coverage of the NSS and host of the Paper Party 2013. I'm so happy I went, even though it mean much less sleep that night! Glad to be back and in full production, thank you everyone for making this Stationery Show so fabulous for us!

Come to visit: 1700 aisle at NSS 2013!
In preparation for the Stationery Show, I did some updates to the website. My favorite: to use a beautiful photo of the studio by photographer Michael Piazza. I love photos where there is a sense of motion!
I'm also thrilled of our new location at the Stationery Show and about our new corner booth and new product display. Together with Albertine Press, we are teaming up with some of our favorite designers and letterpress printer, to create a concentrated aisle of awesome this year. Some other studios will include Egg Press, Hammer Press, Hello! Lucky and Yellow Owl Studio. This collection of fantastic folks and amazing talents, will be showing off their latest goodies, with lots of beautiful new letterpress and screen printed greeting cards and delightful gift items. We'll be announcing our individual show specials and combine efforts for a secret super-treat, so please make sure to swing by the 1700 aisle and join our block party corner. We'd love to see you!

New! Metallic cotton ribbon
The NYC Stationery Show is less than two weeks away and the metallic new ribbon, I was working on during this winter, finally landed in our studio! What a spark on my desk! With weddings and stylish wrapping in mind, I designed the new metallic ribbon with a fine, delicate line of silver and gold thread woven, in the center of the Natural cotton. I believe the metallic thread can add a fine touch to any personalized project. Made in Italy, exclusively for our company, the metallic ribbon are available in the 2/8" and 5/8 width and in different size spools. Deputing at the upcoming Stationery Show, the new ribbons will be available for wholesale orders and online, by the end of May. I will spend the rest of the day taking photographs of the new product, but I would love to hear your option! Thank you and more soon......

100% pure cotton twine
After a long journey, we are excited to launch at the upcoming Stationery Show an high quality Cotton Twine, custom made exclusively for our company, with pure 100% cotton fiber and custom colors. When I learned that most of the baker twine in the market, is made with a content of synthetic fiber, I started to look for nothing else than a natural unbleached cotton fiber for producing our line. It wasn't an easy process and it took months of work, searching for a dye house and a twine manufacturer, by keeping the production within the USA. But it is finally here and a huge stock of twine is now in our studio and I can't stop photographing these beautiful and rich colors. The twine is available in a deep Cherry/Red and White, Black and White, Citrine and Emerald and Natural. Some basic colors I liked to continue to produce and make them available for gift wrapping and packaging design. Come to see them in person at our booth # 1762 or wholesale and online orders are available right away. Stay tuned for more news on the show and have a nice weekend!

Trip to Terrain
For the whole week I remained speechless and observed a week of silence from social media. I was without words and shocked for what happened just a few blocks away from our studio. Only today I revisited the photos of our recent family trip to Baltimore and Washington DC. We ended our journey to Terrain on the way back to Boston, and this thankfully kept us away from the city and the terrible events until that Monday night. Here are some photos of Terrain that left me full of inspiration and that makes me start this new week with hope for a more peaceful and creative time. The giveaway winner from the previous post has been announced and thank you for everyone that support and encourage our work and continue to inspire us everyday!

For the love of letterpress ~ giveaway
The letterpress event at the studio was a lot of fun! a real celebration of spring, in my opinion, and I loved to see the press in action and printing the lovely "Bloom where you are planted" cards by Susy. Albertine Press did a fabulous job printing some cards, head of time for our shop and bring the same plate and ink to use for the demo... and baby Emily was the queen of the party! Thank you everyone that came to share the day with us, it was a bright and sunny day we really enjoyed and I hope you did too! for all the people that missed the event and lives too far to attend, we are happy to send a set of 6 cards + envelopes for your spring mailings. Leave a comment by April 15th and a winner will be announced. Happy spring!

Scissors, Pinking shears and a giveaway!
New products in the shop and for wholesale! we expanded our line of Italian scissors by adding a Medium size Ribbon Scissors and the Tailor's Pinking Shears. I have been collecting scissors for years now and growing up with my mother being a dressmaker, I always loved to have different scissors laying on my working table, ready to use. I was excited to get in contact directly with the manufacturer in Italy and find these beautiful petite scissors and the elegant Pinking Shears. It was fun to complement the industrial steel shears design with a personalized packaging, made with Pikku ribbons bows and kraft paper boxes. Let me know your opinion by April 7th and I will send a pair of Ribbon Scissors to the winner! Also new in the shop, some vintage thread spools of 100 yards of strong cotton thread, made for sewing leather gloves. It is a rare find I purchased in Rome, during my last trip, mostly for the beauty of the vintage label design. Quantity are very limited, only 12 spools are for sale! We are busy preparing for the Letterpress demonstration and Open Studio this Saturday, April 6th and please join us if you are in the Boston area. This is all for now, but more updates to come!
